As expected the Oregon offensive was off flying high to start the season, dropping 53 points on UC Davis. The Ducks start another senior transfer, Dakota Prukop at QB back to back seasons. Prukop was solid right off the bat, taking into consideration that he had 4 offensive linemen that made their first ever start.
Changing gears to a name Ducks fans are familiar, Charles Nelson. A speedy and very versatile individual for the Ducks who is always exciting to watch when he has his hands on the football. Nelson had a rough start to the game with a muffed punt and a fumble, but he bounced back and finished strong with a total of 288 all purpose yards.
Royce Freeman didn’t play much in the game; he finished with 87 yards on 11 attempts & 2 TD on the game. Then on the receiving side, Darren Carrington II had a strong game and finished with 7 receptions for a total of 117 yards and 1 touchdown. Ducks controlled this game and will change their focus and start to get ready to face Virginia this Saturday night at Autzen, kick off at 7:30PM.
