These Ducks are flying under the radar. In what looks to be a loaded PAC-12 in 2016, Oregon isn’t getting a whole lot of run behind the likes of Stanford and Washington and of course, USC. That doesn’t mean you should sleep on them though! The Ducks will have a talented, new quarterback manning the offense once again with either the transfer, Dakota Prukop, or the youngin’, Travis Jonsen, taking over. Both appear capable of leading this explosive offense.
Look for the Oregon Ducks to return with their usual high-flying offense and average defense. They’ll be good enough to compete with the top teams in the PAC-12 and if the chips fall right, could easily walk away as the league champs.
It’s going to be another uphill battle in Corvallis, but things are getting better. I know it’s not saying much, but 2016 will be better than 2015. The Beavers get Utah State transfer Darell Garretson at QB and will be a visible upgrade at the position. Combine that with a step forward from running back Ryan Nall and the Beavers will have some semblance of an offense this year! Wide Receiver Victor Bolden and an offensive line with experience will need to lead the way though.
The lack of a solid defense will keep the Beavers from going too far this year, but things are looking up in Corvallis!
