The Portland Timbers headed to Vancouver for the second match against the Vancouver Whitecaps. From a Timber’s perspective, we’ve played 4 matches against the Whitecaps this season and haven’t had a win yet; how would we fair this Sunday playing in Vancouver?
We only had to wait 30 minutes to find out, Fanendo Adi struck for the Timbers when he punched one in with a great pass from Valeri. The Timbers controlled the game and then in the closing minutes of the match, Diego Chara added another goal for the Timbers in during stoppage time. The Timbers will be moving on to the Western Conference Championship and will face FC Dallas at Providence Park next Sunday.
The Timbers’ Army traveled strong and sure to be in full force and ready for the next match…OnwardRoseCity!.
