Great sunny day in Corvallis, perfect weather for an Oregon State spring football game. The sun was beating nice and hard on the field, but there was something that seemed to shine a little brighter; that was true freshman quarterback Seth Collins.
Collins got things going from the opening series, running for extra yards and then a diving front flip to pick up a few more yards. He then followed that play probably with the play of the game when he hurdled over safety Hill to cap off a 27 yard scramble.
This is not the same old Oregon State football that we’re use to seeing. This will become a fast paced, no-huddle offensive that will be fun to watch. The Oregon Ducks might not be the only fast football team in Oregon. Coach Andersen has not named a starter yet, but Collins seems to be the leader right now.
Game Notes: A crowd of over 12,000+ fans showed up for the game. Storm Woods was available, but only on a limited roll. Final score was White team 38-7 vs the Orange team.
