The 10-man roster of Paris Saint-Germain outplayed Chelsea on the big stage. PSG was able to pull a 2-2 draw at Chelsea in front of their home crowd and advance to the quarterfinal in the Champion League.
Here is a quick recap for anyone that didn’t get a chance to see this exciting match. Gary Cahill drew first blood for the men in blue scoring in the 81′ minute for Chelsea. PSG however continue to show their relentlessness when David Luiz put one in the back of the goal for PSG equalizing the match at 1. That would be the final score going into extra time.
Chelsea quickly regained the lead when Thiago Silva was called with a hand ball penalty in box, with Eden Hazard taking the kick in the 96th minute. Thibaut Courtois’ play was also key for Chelsea. Then in minute 114, Thiago Silva regained himself for that hand ball & finally scored on the road for PSG. Silva put a beautiful header in the back of the net to tie the game and to send PSG on to the quarterfinal.
Chelsea did not look sharp during the match, many of the players were just walking and they simply did not do enough to win the match..
