Chelsea hold on strong in the second half of their last-16 matchup at Paris St-Germain to secure a draw that they will proudly take back home to Chelsea.
Chelsea score early with a header goal from Ivanovic that came off a cross from Terry that was flicked on by Cahill.
The english side controlled much of the game early on as PSG struggled to find a good rhythm at home, but they started picking it up as the first half came to an end.
The Blues wouldn’t see many more chances for the rest of the day, they would record just two shots on goal on the scoresheet.
PSG fight back in the second half and get an equalizing header from Edinson Cavani. He would also later miss a chance to win his team the game by missing the far post be just a few inches.
Ibrahimovic played a good ball and forced Courtois to come up with an important save, but didn’t make a big impact in the game overall.
David Luiz would find himself in the midfield position for the first time in a PSG uniform. He controlled much of the ball for the French side, and would even come close to scoring off a header that ended up getting deflected out of play.
Despite all the pressure from the Paris St. Germain side, Chelsea held on to secure the draw.
They go back to England with a away goal advantage to host PSG on March 11th for the second leg of the last-16.
