Trevor Manuel, a four-star power forward from Lansing, Mich., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Oregon men’s basketball team next season.
EUGENE, Ore. – Trevor Manuel, a four-star power forward from Lansing, Mich., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Oregon men’s basketball team next season, head coach Dana Altman announced Tuesday.
The 6-9, 215-lbs., Manuel received four stars and a rating of 93 from 247 Sports. He was also the No. 90 player nationally and the No. 25 power forward according to 247 Sports.
ESPN.com also rated Manuel a four-star recruit with a grade of 80.
Manuel, who will play his senior season at Everett High School in Lansing, Mich., spent his junior year at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, where he helped that school finish the year 41-4 and advance to the championship game of the Dick’s National High School Tournament at Madison Square Garden.
Before that, he won a Michigan state title as a freshman with Sexton High School in Lansing, and earned Class B All-State honors as a sophomore after averaging 12.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
“Trevor is a very talented young man who will not only fill one of our needs in the front court, but has a tremendous upside,” said Altman. “He comes from a terrific family and is really just starting to scratch the surface of his potential as a basketball player.”

A highly touted high school basketball prospect, Manuel is a four-star recruit with a grade of 93 according to 247 Sports and 80 according to ESPN.com … A native of Lansing, Mich., Manuel played his first two seasons of high school at Sexton High School, leading his team to the state championship his freshman year and making it to the regional round of the playoffs his sophomore year … He earned Class B All-State honors as a sophomore after averaging 12.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game for Sexton … Manuel transferred to Oak Hill Academy for his junior season, a school that has produced notable players such as Carmelo Anthony and Brandon Jennings, and helped that school finish the year 41-4 and advance to the championship game of the Dick’s National High School Tournament at Madison Square Garden … For his senior season, Manuel transferred to Lansing Everett High School, where his father played his high school basketball … Manuel is known for his long frame and ability to dominate on the defensive side of the ball, while also being able to knock down mid-range jump shots … According to ESPN.com, Manuel is the third ranked player coming out of the state of Michigan.
