The Trail Blazers are debuting a new court inside Moda Center for the 2014-15 season, which features a design that was created by a fan and determined by the public. In March, the team invited the fans to visit trailblazers.com/CreateTheCourt and design their own court based on certain parameters. After more than 19,000 submissions over the course of a month, three finalists were nominated for the public to vote on. The winning design was created by Austin Flint of Klamath Falls, Ore.
While the design has changed over the years, this is the first time hardwood has been completely overhauled in more than 11 years. Additionally, every season ticket holder will have their name on the court, spelling out the words “Rip City” on the east sideline.
